Start faxing by email, your online account, Microsoft applications and even your phone. Faxing online doesn’t tie up your computer or phone line; simply press send—that’s all there is to it. No more busy signals. No more hoping that the fax you’re faxing is transmitted—when faxing is complete, your account can be setup to automatically notify you by text or email.

Sending an online fax
Faxing online is as simple as entering a fax number in the email address field, and adding "@rcfax.com.” Want a cover page for your faxing documents? Add the text that you want to appear on the Cover Page of your online into the Subject field. Then attach the documents for faxing and press send. Faxing a document from your desktop? Just open any printable document and click the online fax icon in the toolbar. Fill in the boxes found in the InternetFax tool and press send.

You can also start faxing from any Internet connection by logging into your RingCentral account and click the icon at the top right of your account screen. The InternetFax tool will appear. Fill in the boxes and send. To begin faxing via your Call Controller, simply click the online fax button on your Call Controller; the InternetFax tool appears for you to fill in the boxes and send. With RingCentral Online faxing, you can even designate an extension for faxing on-demand. To do so, choose an extension and upload an online fax document to it. When a caller dials the extension number, a prompt will ask them to enter the number where they wish to receive the online fax.

Receiving an online fax
When you sign up with RingCentral, the toll free or local number you get with your service becomes your new RingCentral faxing number. Incoming faxes go into your online account and are delivered according to your preferences. Faxing does not tie up your lines; callers will never hear a busy signal. Online fax documents are stored in your account for 30 days and you can download them to your PC for permanent storage.
